Job Description
The Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by managing and preparing accurate financial records. This includes handling core financial activities such as preparing financial statements, maintaining ledgers, filing taxes, and ensuring compliance with Indian and International regulations. The accountant will also provide strategic financial insights to senior management, helping them make informed business decisions. In addition to daily accounting duties, the role involves auditing financial documents, offering tax-saving advice and assisting with budget forecasts to ensure optimal financial performance across the organization.

Responsibilities
- Prepare, examine, and analyse financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment and invoicing.
- Maintain detailed and accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals.
- Prepare and submit tax documents, including income tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting by analysing financial data.
- Perform audits of financial documents to identify and rectify discrepancies.
- Evaluate and suggest improvements in financial policies, procedures, and accounting software.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of ledger accounts and the preparation of month-end closing reports.
- Provide financial guidance to management and assist with strategic decision-making based on financial performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance background.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Tally) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with various teams and clients.
